The coverage drawing should be a production layer, not a verbal note such as “add epoxy.” Mark the intended boundary relative to the print, cut line, transparent zones, narrow projections and hardware hole.

Full-face coverage can create one continuous domed appearance. Selective coverage can emphasize a character, logo or decorative area, but the physical sample must prove that the boundary is stable and visually intentional. A narrow edge setback may be needed so resin does not overflow the cut body or interfere with assembly.

PRINT AND LAYER PLAN

Clear epoxy can change apparent depth, gloss and contrast. The print file should separate color artwork, white-ink support and transparent zones so the sample can be reviewed under the actual resin layer rather than inferred from a flat screen proof.

The raised surface may visually magnify dust, registration differences or small artwork shifts.
