What are aurora acrylic stands?
Aurora acrylic stands use an iridescent acrylic sheet, optical film or equivalent color-shift layer that moves through several reflected tones as the stand or light source changes position. The effect is generally smooth and continuous, so buyers should identify the approved material rather than relying on a screen gradient or the word rainbow.
The material can influence both artwork visibility and the appearance of transparent areas. A full white-ink plate makes printed characters more opaque but can hide much of the aurora effect. Selective white ink lets the finish remain visible around hair, clothing, logos or background shapes, but critical facial details still need sufficient contrast.

Approve color shift under more than one viewing condition
Aurora material can look nearly clear from one position and strongly blue, violet, pink or gold from another. A single front-facing photo is not a sufficient production standard. Review the physical sample upright, tilted forward, tilted sideways and against both light and dark backgrounds.
The accepted range should describe the material family, not one frozen reflected color. Buyers should also confirm whether the body and base show compatible shifts. If the base is cut from another area or production lot, apparent color can differ even when the material name is the same.

The optical finish does not replace mechanical control. Nominal thickness, actual sheet tolerance, tab geometry and base slot width still determine assembly force and lean. Approve the body and base as one assembled sample, especially when only one component uses aurora material.
Large bodies, off-center shapes and wide transparent areas can change the visual balance. Record the intended front direction and test the stand on a level surface after protective film removal. The selected base must support the body without masking the planned reflected effect.

Is aurora acrylic the same as holographic acrylic?
Not necessarily. Aurora usually describes a smooth iridescent color shift, while holographic materials often use visible motifs such as stars, shards or crushed ice. Approve a physical material code instead of relying on the finish name.
Can the aurora effect remain visible through printed artwork?
Yes, when transparent or selective-white areas are planned. Full white ink increases opacity but can block the optical layer behind the artwork.
Should the body and base use the same aurora material?
