Quote Materials Checklist
Custom Plush Quote Materials Checklist
A custom plush quote moves faster when artwork, size, quantity, SKU count, fabric, accessories, packaging, schedule and delivery conditions are checked together before inquiry.
Share artwork together with target size, quantity, SKU count, intended use and preferred schedule. This improves the accuracy and speed of the initial quotation review.
Not every item needs to be finalized. Send what is available first. Packaging, barcode labels, inspection and delivery conditions can then be organized for a more precise proposal.

Quote materials to prepare before inquiry
You do not need to have every detail finalized. Share what is available first, then we can help organize the missing items before formal quotation.
Front, side, back, expression, outfit details and reference photos. If approval is required, separate the latest approved version.
Overall height, seated height, thickness, accessory length and acceptable tolerance should be checked.
Total quantity is not enough for a series. Quantity by character, color, expression or package type matters.
If the fabric name is unknown, describe touch, pile length, color direction and reference images.
Ball chain, lobster clasp, strap, woven label, hang tag and care label requirements should be confirmed.
OPP bag, backing card, barcode label, blind bag, carton label, delivery address, split delivery and DDP requirements affect the quote.
Safety, needle detection and quality review
These conditions are especially important for the Japanese market. Sharing the target age, sales channel and hardware specification early makes inspection planning much clearer.
- Target age, sales country and sales channel
- Ball chain, lobster clasp or other metal hardware and its position
- Needle-detection requirement and planned checkpoints
- NDA, revision scope and approval flow for licensed IP
- Needle detection after sewing the plush body
- Attach hardware, then check appearance and attachment strength
- Define the final check separately from expected hardware response
- Complete the pre-packaging check and shipment record

How each material affects a custom plush quote
For the same plush concept, the quote can change depending on how clearly each requirement is defined. Separate confirmed items from undecided items before inquiry.
| Material or condition | What to provide | Why it affects quotation |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork | Front, side, back, expression, outfit, color direction and details to reproduce. | Used to judge pattern work, embroidery, printing, parts and sample revision scope. |
| Size | Overall height, seated height, thickness and whether chains or tags are included. | Affects fabric usage, filling volume, carton size and shipping conditions. |
| Quantity and SKUs | Total quantity, SKU-by-SKU quantity, color variants, character variants and assortment ratio. | Used for MOQ, material preparation, inspection, SKU labels and split delivery checks. |
| Fabric and embroidery | Fabric option, pile length, color, embroidery area, thread color and printing requirements. | Affects sample accuracy, unit cost and color control during production. |
| Accessories and packaging | Ball chain, clasp, OPP bag, backing card, barcode label, header and carton label. | Affects component sourcing, packing labor, retail readiness and logistics label control. |
| Schedule and delivery | Preferred date, launch date, event date, warehouse, split delivery and DDP request. | Needed to plan sampling, approval, production, inspection and shipping backwards. |
Artwork should support production checks, not only visual direction
Besides showing the character style, mark which areas should be embroidery, separate fabric, print or accessory parts. This reduces unclear sample feedback.

Prepare color references, pile direction and texture expectations.

Confirm eyes, eyebrows, mouth, blush and fine line areas before sampling.

Organize OPP bag, backing card, barcode label, caution text and carton labels early.

Common reasons a quotation gets delayed
A quote can still start with incomplete materials, but the following gaps often change cost, schedule or production feasibility.
MOQ, material preparation, unit cost and packaging conditions are difficult to confirm.
The same design changes in pattern, filling, packaging and shipping conditions when size changes.
Barcode labels, backing cards, blind bags and carton labels affect labor and schedule.
When metal parts are involved, the needle-detection timing and expected hardware response should be planned before production to avoid redesigning the workflow later.
From inquiry to quotation review
Quote preparation is a process of organizing missing information so the specification can be reviewed clearly before sampling.
| Step | What we check | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Inquiry | Initial check of product type, use case, quantity and preferred schedule. | Available artwork and target conditions. |
| 2. Specification review | Size, SKUs, fabric, embroidery, accessories, packaging and inspection. | Undecided items, reference images and priority conditions. |
| 3. Quote condition check | Quantity, packaging, delivery conditions and sampling feasibility. | SKU quantity, delivery destination and target schedule. |
| 4. Sampling discussion | Sample production, revision scope and approval timing if quote conditions match. | Approver, review deadline and feedback method. |

Separate quantity by character, color and packaging type for faster checking.

Check sewing, accessory attachment, needle detection and packaging condition by use case.

Separating confirmed and undecided items keeps the first review focused.

FAQ
What materials are needed for a custom plush quotation?
At minimum, share artwork, target size, quantity, SKU count, intended use and preferred schedule. A more accurate quote is easier when fabric, embroidery areas, accessories, packaging and delivery conditions are also clear.
Can we ask for a quote with rough artwork?
Yes. For rough artwork, please share the front and side shape, the expression you want to reproduce, size direction and sales channel. Before mass production, approved artwork or a clear specification sheet will be needed.
Can you quote a small lot or a project with an undecided quantity?
An early estimate is possible. As a planning reference, a single design starts from 500 pieces, while multi-SKU programs can be reviewed from 300 pieces per SKU. A target quantity allows a more accurate proposal.
What if we do not know the fabric name?
Share reference photos, touch feeling, pile length, color direction and intended use. We can help organize possible options such as short fur, boa, velboa or soft stretch fabric, then confirm details during sampling.
Can packaging and barcode labels be decided later?
They can be discussed later, but packaging affects cost, labor, carton size and schedule. OPP bag, backing card, JAN or barcode label, header, blind bag and carton label requirements should be checked early.
What should we write in the inquiry form?
Please include product type, artwork, size, quantity, SKU count, packaging, preferred schedule, delivery destination and use case where possible. Unknown items can be marked as undecided so we can help prioritize the next checks.
How do projects requiring NDA and IP approval proceed?
Materials can be shared under an NDA, and we will organize only the information needed for review. The revision scope and approval flow can be planned together before sampling.
