A hollow space inside a transparent acrylic assembly contains liquid, glitter, sequins, or other decorative pieces. When the item is tilted, the inclusions move and change how the character artwork and background are seen.
“Oil-filled,” “liquid glitter,” and “shaker” describe the internal effect, not one product shape. The supplied examples include a thick self-standing acrylic block and a tall, scalloped-edge ticket-style shaker acrylic. Their construction, tooling, sampling, and inspection points are not interchangeable.

A video can communicate glitter speed, density, and visual coverage. It does not by itself prove seal performance, long-term durability, or consistency across a production lot.

The product type, hollow area, fill behavior, and print-layer order are all part of the specification. Put the following inputs into one controlled RFQ sheet.

Separate prototype MOQ from production MOQ
Stock-format printing services and fully customized hollow structures can have very different quantity and setup conditions. Ask separately for prototype MOQ, production MOQ, minimum quantity per SKU, and any tooling, fixture, structural-design, sample, or color-proof charges.

This is a thick card-style block, sometimes described by Chinese suppliers as “流砂麻将,” “流麻咕咔砖,” or “卡砖.” In an English RFQ, use card-style oil-filled acrylic block and include dimensions so it is not confused with the ticket-style format.

Approve the physical sample and the leak-check criteria together
A label such as “double sealed” is not enough. Define what is inspected, under which conditions, how many pieces are checked, what counts as acceptable, and what happens after a failure.
For blocks, inspect total thickness, standing stability, corners, and edges. For ticket-style pieces, add layer order, scalloped edges, hollow-area boundaries, and the fill port.

CLASSIFY THE PRODUCT
Determine requirements from age grade, use, and sales market
EN 71, ASTM F963, and CPSIA do not automatically apply in the same way to every oil-filled acrylic item. Classification as a toy or children's product, intended age, accessible materials, intended use, and sales market determine the applicable checks and documentation.

What is the MOQ for custom oil-filled acrylic?
There is no universal MOQ. It depends on whether you use a stock format, customize only the print, develop a new hollow structure, or split the order across several SKUs. Ask for prototype MOQ, production MOQ, and minimum quantity per SKU separately.
Is a stock shape better for a small run?
A stock format can reduce tooling and sampling work, but it may not suit the artwork or the intended glitter movement. Compare a stock-format quote and a custom-structure quote against the same specification sheet.
How should buyers assess leak resistance?
Do not rely on the name of a sealing method alone. Review the fill port and bonded edges, test conditions, inspection quantity, acceptance criteria, and the agreed remedy for nonconforming pieces. Also document whether any material or process may change after sample approval.
Can a movement video replace a physical sample?
No. Video is useful for agreeing on flow speed and visual effect, but thickness, weight, color, edge finish, fill-port appearance, hardware fit, and the packed condition still require a physical approval sample.
Can oil-filled acrylic products be shipped by air?
It depends on the liquid, seal construction, packaging, carrier, and route. Give the product information to the factory and freight forwarder, then agree on any low-pressure, vibration, leakage-retention, or packaging checks required for the route.
Are EN 71, ASTM F963, and CPSIA always required?
Not in the same way for every product. Applicability depends on whether the item is classified as a toy or children's product, the intended age, materials, use, and sales market. Confirm the applicable requirements with a qualified laboratory or compliance professional for the actual project.
